Professional Training as a Commercial Correspondent

Combine one or two years of foreign language lessons with solid professional training and business knowledge.

As a Commercial Correspondent in Foreign Languages, an interesting, challenging position with a variety of tasks awaits you in a broad range of industries: import/export, international banking and insurance, international organisations and institutions, tourism, airlines and trade fairs and exhibitions, just to name a few.

Participants

The training course is intended for students finishing school and individuals who have already completed some sort of business management training.

Requirements

Good English skills and a secondary school certificate (Realschulabschluss) or higher are required. Exceptions can be made if the participant has completed professional training in the past. No Spanish language requirements are necessary for those participating in the two-year programme with Spanish

Lessons

The course runs over one or two years and begins in October. Lessons take place from Monday to Friday in small groups of 8 to 15 participants. The majority of our teachers are native speakers.

Internationally recognised language certificates from the University of Cambridge

As part of the course, you will take the Cambridge English: Advanced exam. This C1-level certificate is an international seal of approval, signaling to employers that you can interact in the world of business competently.

Final exams

Final exams take place at agi under the supervision of the Stuttgart Regional Council. After successfully completing the training programme, you will receive the title “State-approved Commercial Correspondent.”

After your training is complete

After your course, you’ll be ready to start a job. Your knowledge of business practices and MS Office skills will give you an advantage as a team assistant, employee in the back office, purchasing, human resources and many other positions.
