Our course and exam system is based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This provides an overview of the levels, describing each in detail to ensure consistency and transferability worldwide.

Helpful information on visas

Who doesn’t need a visa?

Citizens of the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland do not need a visa when traveling to Germany.

Citizens from countries listed as “no visa” by the Federal Foreign Office can stay in Germany for up to 90 days. The list of countries is available here.

Who needs a visa?

Citizens from countries listed as “yes visa” by the Federal Foreign Office. If you are a member of this group and need a visa, we are happy to provide you with a confirmation of your registration for a German course (fees apply). In the confirmation, the duration of your course and your payment are confirmed. As a result, we can only provide a confirmation of registration after we receive all course fees.

I have to wait longer for my visa…

Should your visa be delayed, you can postpone the start of your course up to two times within twelve months of your original start date, free of charge.

My visa was denied...

If your visa is denied, the following conditions apply:

We retain the higher of €200 or 20% of your course fees. The remaining fees can only be refunded when you present us with the original rejection of your visa.
