DTZ language exam

  • Final Exam of the Integration Course
  • Scaled exam (A2–B1)
  • In combination with the “Life in Germany” test, you will receive the “Integration Course Certificate”
  • The certificates can be accessed online by participants approximately 4 weeks after the exam.

In the language exam DTZ (German Test for Immigrants), two proficiency levels are assessed at the same time. The test therefore enables an evaluation of your language skills in various areas at levels A2 or B1; however, the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) requires an overall B1 result in order to pass the test successfully.
In combination with successfully passing the “Life in Germany” test, you will then receive the “Integration Course Certificate.” For self-paying participants, the submission of a certificate of attendance for at least one completed module of an integration course is required.
