International recognition

The Cambridge English Examinations are internationally recognised and are accepted as proof of qualified knowledge by colleges, universities, companies and most institutions.

The CAE and CPE exams are usually the linguistic entrance requirement for a course of studies in the English language. In the case of an MBA, the BEC H, which is the same standard as the CAE, is the obvious choice.

With regards to acceptance, however, it is advisable to make enquiries at the particular college, university, company or institution in good time.

Testing of the four fundamental linguistic abilities forms the core of every Cambridge examination:

- reading

- writing

- listening

- speaking
