Castles in and around Stuttgart - Language School in Stuttgart - Anglo-German Institute
The Old Palace houses the State Museum of Wuerttemberg; the New Palace is next door. The "green lung" of Stuttgart, a 4 km long Castle Garden, begins here. The natural history museum, Rosenstein Castle, in the Rosenstein park, is situated nearby. Solitude Palace and the Ludwigsburger Residential Castle, also known as the "Swabian Versailles", are located a few miles from Stuttgart. The Ludwigsburg Castle is the largest Barock estate in Germany. Hohenzollern Castle and Lichtenstein Castle, located in the "Swabian mountains", and Neuschwanstein Castle (prototype for the Disney castle), in nearby Bavaria, are well worth a visit.
