SUMMER SUNSHINE COURSES
Summer in Stuttgart:
From the 15 June to the 21 Aug 2009 we offer our popular summer courses with a special programme. The mornings are filled with intensive German tuition in small groups and in the afternoon you discover the city or visit other interesting sights in the area. On your various ventures you will get to know the country and its people.
Tuition
Classes meet in the morning from Monday through Friday for 20 x 45-Minute lessons. In a group of between five and ten participants you will systematically improve your German skills. Together with students from other countries you practise your oral and written skills. Your listening comprehension
will also be trained. Texts dealing with current issues will be read in class. By means of daily dialogues and discussions you will be able to immediately apply the newly-acquired vocabulary. Allow time for homework in order to delve into the new learning units and prepare for the next lesson. Our computer centre will enable you to practice your abilities on a PC. Regularly scheduled tests are meant to show you your level of progress. You will receive an AGI certificate on your final course day indicating the duration of the course and the learning level achieved.
Activity program
We invite all course participates to join us on our afternoon excursions to town or its environs.
A relaxing barbecue in the old palace garden, a visit to the popular spa or the world-renowned zoo
as well as a guided tour of the State Gallery are just some of the highlights on offer. If you like you
can climb up the stairs to the top of Stuttgart`s TV tower or visit the new Mercedes-Benz Museum.
In the evening you will get to know the best clubs and cafés in Stuttgart. We also urge you to join us on a weekend day tour of the enchanting towns of Heidelberg, Tübingen, Baden-Baden in the Black Forest or Lindau on the banks of Lake Constance.
Accomodation
We can arrange accomodation for you in a German-speaking host family, in a local residential establishment or in a hotel. You will find information and rates on our website („Accomodation“).
Registration and Start of Courses
You can enrol online on our website or personally at our school. If you have prior knowledge of German, you can start with a course any week. A placement test is necessary, in order to find a suitable course for you. We offer absolute beginner courses starting 15 June, 6 July or 3 Aug.
